In August 2021, a Meadow Survey event was organised to identify and survey the wildflowers growing in the Margam Country Park Community Orchard and Meadow.
This was an opportunity to find out more about the Community Orchard and Meadow and to meet the team involved in the project.
Working with the Head Gardener and Orchard Leaders attenders learnt how to identify native plant species growing in the meadow. 1m2 quadrats were used to survey the species present in a given area. No previous experience was required and all tools and identification material was be provided.
