Margam Country Park has been closed with immediate effect as of today 22/03/2020.
The Park will be closed for a period of 4 weeks, the situation will be reviewed following this period. During this time we will be closely monitoring the situation and following government, NHS and Neath Port Talbot Council guidance.
The decision was made in order to help restrict the spread of coronavirus (Covid019).
Disabled Parking: Parking is available to disabled badge holders at both the Orangery car park and the Castle.
Mobility & Access: We have wheelchairs and an electric tramper buggy available to help visitors explore the park. Please contact us for availability
By Car Margam Country Park is located a short drive from the M4; exit at Junction 38 and follow the brown tourist signs to Margam Country Park. If you are travelling using a sat nav system, please use the postcode SA13 2TJ
By Train Frequent Great Western trains link London Paddington, Reading, Swindon and Bristol Parkway (connections from north east England and Midlands) with Port Talbot.
By Bus Bus X1 runs from outside Port Talbot train station; taxis also available at station. By Coach: The closest coach station when arriving by coach is within the Port Talbot bus station. It is then easy to catch either the First Cymru X1 or X4 bus which will drop to at the main road entrance to the park.
