Margam Country Park is open all year round so you will always find something to make the visit worth while whatever the season.

From 11th November onwards the Park is closed Monday and Tuesday Mornings - opening from 1.00 pm.                                                                                          The Park closes to visitors at 4.30 prompt from the 21st November - 23rd December for the Luminate Wales Event - Any visitors in the Park at his time will be asked to leave - Thank you for your co operation.

Admission:- Entry to the park is free, charges for parking apply. Car £6, Motorbike £3, Minibus £15, Coach £30

Christmas Opening Hours:                                                                                              Christmas Eve: 10am-1pm                                                                                                              Christmas Day: Closed                                                                                                                 

26th December – 1st January – 10am-3.30pm

Prior to your visit, please check that the date of your visit does not coincide with a 'special event' being held at the Park, for which per person entry charges apply. This per person charge is the ONLY entry charge for these days - the Free Entry with Parking charges does not apply on Special Event days.
Please note that on Bank Holidays there is a charge ranging from £4.00-£9.00 per adult and £3.00-£7.00 per child depending on the event, on these days this per person entry fee is the only entry fee that applies.

 

Disabled Parking:  Parking is available to disabled badge holders at both the Orangery car park and the Castle.

Mobility & Access: We have wheelchairs and an electric tramper buggy available to help visitors explore the park.  Please contact us for availability

Travel information:
By Car 
Margam Country Park is located a short drive from the M4; exit at Junction 38 and follow the brown tourist signs to Margam Country Park. If you are travelling using a sat nav system, please use the postcode  SA13 2TJ 

By Train Frequent Great Western trains link London Paddington, Reading, Swindon and Bristol Parkway (connections from north east England and Midlands) with Port Talbot.

By Bus Bus X1 runs from outside Port Talbot train station; taxis also available at station.  By Coach: The closest coach station when arriving by coach is within the Port Talbot bus station. It is then easy to catch either the First Cymru X1 or X4 bus which will drop to at the main road entrance to the park.
