Third Stage Opening - 3rd August until further notice (excluding any period of National Lockdown)
- Why are you limiting entry to vehicles at a time?
This is a public safety measure we have put in place to comply with Welsh Government guidance on social distancing.
- The play facilities for children...
Please be aware of the signage at the Play facilities and follow details accordingly. Should at anytime the Park Management feel the facilities are becoming overcrowded and the appropriate social distancing is not being followed the facilities may be closed. The new adventure playground facility (on the caslte lawns alongside the Lake) will be open as soon as the final safety checks have been made.
- What about the fishing Lake and my permit?
Fishing on Furzemill Lake has restarted with a smaller number of fishing pegs being made available (to ensure social distancing can be followed) fishermen can arrive from 9.15 (NOT BEFORE) to book a peg for the day.
- What about my Park Membership?
For memberships that expired during the period that the Park was either closed or was offering free car parking charges the park is extending your cover to account for the relevant period. This will be completed automatically. Please note: Park membership sales will be available on line only from Monday 3rd August.
- Why are there only take away catering facilities?
This is another measure we have had to put in place to protect both staff and visitors and to comply with Welsh Government guidance.
- Is there anything else I need to be aware of?
The most important thing you need to be aware of is the importance of maintaining the 2 meter social distancing guidance which will help to keep you and your family safe. We would also be very grateful if you do not discard litter, in particular, tissues as this will help to keep our staff safe. Please keep your dogs under close control during your visit.
We hope you enjoy your visit to Margam Country Park!
