‘Jemina Puddleduck ’ Evening Outdoor Theatre Sunday 4th August

Quantum Theatre are back this summer with a brand new adaptation of the much-loved Beatrix Potter Tale, The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck.
Michael Whitmore's delightful new adaptation is packed full of songs, action and drama, with a score by Gideon Escott, and is guaranteed to to delight and enthrall all ages.

D DAY 80

In 2024 the UK will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings on 6 June 1944 with a series of major commemorations and events across the UK and in France.

Also known as D-Day, the historic operation saw the Allied Forces mount a large-scale invasion of Nazi-occupied France that ultimately tipped the course of the Second World War in the Allies’ favour.

Walk the Alpacas

Taffi, Gwyn and Uncle Bryn will be wearing their harnesses, ready for you to hold their lead and take them on a 1km route around the Farm Trail. With endless photo opportunities, you'll also get to take part in feeding time and have the chance to ask as many questions as you can think of to our alpaca handlers.

The Castle

This 19th Century Tudor Gothic Mansion was designed by the architect Thomas Hopper for Christopher Rice Mansel Talbot.
The house was built in 1830 – 40 at a cost of £50,000 using sandstone from nearby Pyle quarry. Listed Grade I as a mansion of exceptional quality, the Castle has some spectacular features such as the vast staircase hall and octagonal tower.

The Entrance Hallway and Staircase Hall is open to the public .

 

The Gardens

Margam Park is a Grade I listed garden, where you are surrounded by beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers with both classic and modern planting.

The Gardens at Margam are continuously being developed aiming, over time, to become one of the most interesting gardens in South Wales.

Deer and Wildlife

The famous Margam Deer Herd today roams through approximately 500 acres (200 hectares) of parkland. There are herds of Fallow, Red and the endangered Pere David Deer.

Among the more common mammals to be seen are foxes, badgers, hares, grey squirrels, voles and shrews.

Activities for All

From peaceful walks to the thrill of mountain biking, coarse fishing to sitting back and watching the deer - the park provides a wonderful environment for all to enjoy.
