Margam Country Park is pleased to be organising a Community Christmas Tree Festival. This special event aims to bring Park groups, community groups, schools, businesses, visitors... together making a beautiful festive display for all to enjoy.
The festival will be staged in Margam Castle and will be open to visitors to enjoy, visitor entry to the festival will be by donation.

This 19th Century Tudor Gothic Mansion was designed by the architect Thomas Hopper for Christopher Rice Mansel Talbot.
The house was built in 1830 – 40 at a cost of £50,000 using sandstone from nearby Pyle quarry. Listed Grade I as a mansion of exceptional quality, the Castle has some spectacular features such as the vast staircase hall and octagonal tower.

The Entrance Hallway and Staircase Hall is open to the public .

The famous Margam Deer Herd today roams through approximately 500 acres (200 hectares) of parkland. There are herds of Fallow, Red and the endangered Pere David Deer.

Among the more common mammals to be seen are foxes, badgers, hares, grey squirrels, voles and shrews.
