Cwm Phillip Valley
- Dropping away behind the pulpit viewpoint is Cwm Phillip valley.
- The far slope has been planted as a mixed woodland which includes rowan, ash and oak.
- A large holly tree can be seen along side the track.
- The berries of holly and rowan provide an autumn snack for birds, such as the chaffinch in the picture.
- The bracken covered slope provides a great habitat for many small mammals. They form a network of tunnels under cover of the vegetation.
- Birds of prey can often be seen hunting along the bank. This is a male Kestrel.
- The stream which runs along the bottom of Cwm Phillip valley feeds into Fish Pond that we saw earlier.
